Easter Activities for the Whole Family

BY: Sharon Fitness for GOOD.

Celebrating Easter with the family can be filled with fun activities that everyone will enjoy, especially if you have relatives arriving for the school holidays. Here are some creative and enjoyable ways to make the most out of the Easter long weekend and create memories that will last forever:

  1. Egg and Spoon Race: A classic activity where participants try to balance an egg on a spoon and race to the finish line without dropping it.
  2. Bunny Sack Race: A twist on the traditional sack race, but with participants hopping like bunnies to the finish line.
  3. Gummy Eggs: Make and decorate your own gummy eggs. This is not only a fun activity but also a tasty treat for kids.
  4. Pin the Egg on the Bunny: A festive take on the classic ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey’.

  5. Easter Bingo: Print out bingo cards with Easter-themed images for a fun family game night.
  6. Easter Bocce: Played with wooden Easter eggs instead of bocce balls, it’s a game of skill and fun.
  7. Easter Egg Drop Game: A fun and crazy party game with lots of laughs
  8. Egg decorating: Everyone loves to create their own Easter eggs, so crack out the paints, glitter, ribbons, stickers, feathers, sequins – whatever is in the craft box and create some unique and individual Easter memories. Blow some raw eggs to create eggs you can keep for years to come,
  9. Easter Scavenger Hunt: Use glow-in-the-dark Easter eggs for an after-sundown hunt, or try an indoor hunt if the weather is bad. Remember, if you have dogs, be sure to use plastic eggs that can be exchanged for chocolate ones, to avoid doggo finding them. Nobody wants a trip to the emergency vet on the Easter weekend.
  10. Bake Easter Cookies: Baking and decorating themed cookies is a delicious way to spend time together. Or, for an easy hack, grab a packet of Milk Arrowroot biscuits, a pot of icing or white choc melts and a variety of coloured sprinkles from the baking isle and some extra lollies to decorate.
