What did you think of WHEN CALLS THE HEART S13 Ep1?

The Aussie Hearties were out in full force for the Season 13 premiere of WHEN CALLS THE HEART, and our watch-along chat did not disappoint! From excited countdowns and swoon-worthy moments to gasp-worthy twists and plenty of cheeky banter, the group lit up as Hope Valley returned to our screens. Whether we were speculating, celebrating or collectively holding our breath, it was a night full of laughs, reactions and heartfelt connection – just the way we like it. 💛

So what did you have to say? How is the season shaping up? What did you think of season 13 episode 1?

The comeback of the season – the ‘stache! (You thought we meant Brooke?)

From the very first “5 minutes to go!” (thanks Emily!) to the final “Aww it’s over,” our watch-along chat was buzzing with excitement, nostalgia and plenty of opinions.

The biggest talking point of the night? Nathan’s moustache, of course. Sharon kicked things off with “The stache is back!!” and let’s just say… not everyone was convinced. Tracy declared, “That moustache has to go!” while Sandra admitted, “Love Nathan, but not so much the mo.” Even Charlotte wasn’t a fan—honestly, we felt that 😂

Beyond the ‘stache drama, there were so many joyful moments. Everyone loved seeing familiar faces again—“So good to see Charlotte!” (Wen), “Christopher is back!” (Emily)—and there was a collective soft spot for how much the kids have grown. Goldie, Allie, Opal… cue all the proud Heartie feels.

Touching moments galore and of course, it wouldn’t be Hope Valley without a bit of suspense. From “What is happening?” to “Can we trust him?” (looking at you, Mr McGinty 👀), the tension had us hooked. And when things escalated? As Kandy put it: “Quite the roller coaster!!”

We also had plenty of classic Heartie humour—traffic lights in Hope Valley had everyone amused, plus some strong opinions on fashion, plot twists, and even canned cornbread 😆..

And then… Nathan saves the day. Cue the cheers: “Woohoo yay Nathan!!” and “Well done Nathan!”—because let’s be honest, swoon levels were still very high, moustache or not.

Now everything is wonderful…isn’t it?

By the end, we were left with smoke on the horizon, questions to be answered, and one very united feeling: we are SO glad to be back in Hope Valley together. 💛
