What did you think of WHEN CALLS THE HEART S13 Ep10?
What an emotional rollercoaster Episode 10 turned out to be! From sweet romantic scheming to heartbreaking grief and healing, Hearties were laughing, crying, and “ugly crying” together all night long. 🥹
Before the episode even began, Emily warned everyone to “definitely have the tissues handy”, while Wen admitted Episode 9 had left her emotional “but in a good way” 🤧. By the time the countdown hit, Sharon declared “ok I’m ready!”, Kelly celebrated remembering it was on, and the whole watch party was buzzing with excitement.
So what did everyone have to say? What did you think of season 13 episode 10?
Right from the opening breakfast scene, Charlotte stole hearts. “Charlotte can cook now,” Emily joked, while Sharon admired the “big breakfast!!” 🍳. But underneath the humour, viewers quickly realised Charlotte wasn’t emotionally ready to leave Hope Valley just yet. “Too difficult for her,” Sharon observed, while Emily noted that “Charlotte’s still grieving.”
Then we cut to Nathan looking very cagey with his newspaper, eyeing off the Mercantile…then as soon as Florence leaves the store he’s off his chair and ordering a very surprised Ned to “Lock it!!”.

Then, Nathan’s happy mood had everyone grinning. 😏 Sharon couldn’t stop talking about “Nathan looking very cute with his cheeky smile and eyes twinkling!” as the long-awaited “Operation Ring Size” officially began. From failed cookie attempts to dish-dodging distractions, fans were loving every minute of the chaos.

Nathan was a man obsessed, determined to find out Elizabeth’s ring size without her knowing, by any means necessary.

And that meant enlisting Allie’s help.

And so Operation Ring Size was launched.

A couple of false starts though…
“First try fail lol,” Emily laughed.
“Operation dish dodge now,” Sharon added.
“Allie almost blew it!” Wen panicked.
Thankfully, crafty Allie came to the rescue. “Quick work Allie! Good job!!” Sharon cheered as the mission was finally accomplished. “Finally, mission ring size achieved!” Wen celebrated. 💍

The pottery class idea sprang from a delightful couple of scenes with Mike and Mei which also touched viewers deeply. Sharon especially loved “Mike appreciating Mei’s culture and wanting to know more about it… so lovely.” Their scenes brought warmth and tenderness amid the heavier emotional moments. As Sharon noted, Mike’s description of his big love for Mei, was perhaps one of the best lines of the episode, “Past, present, future… always!”
So the ring was chosen, in an emotional scene that had everyone blubbering… and we don’t just mean Allie and Ned!
“Everyone bawling,” Sharon wrote. “On the show and at home haha.”
“I’m bawling!!” Wen admitted.

Elsewhere in Hope Valley, Rosemary absolutely stole the episode with her insurance company antics. “Of course Rosie will do it lol,” Joy laughed, while Emily called her “the perfect candidate.” Sharon praised Rosemary’s “passionate ad libbing”.

Lucas also had viewers talking as he struggled with opening his heart again. “Lucas is missing Edie,” Wen noted sadly, before Lee stepped in with some heartfelt wisdom. “Great advice Lee,” Emily agreed.

The other big love story of the episode, of course, was Bill and Georgie, with Georgie laying down her ‘terms’ and Bill accepting them even before he’s heard them. Does this mean we’ll see Georgie as a permanent Hope Valley resident?

But the emotional centrepiece of the episode was undeniably Nathan, Elizabeth, and Charlotte at Jack’s grave following Jack asking for her blessing. He still needed to ask for someone else’s blessing, he told her. ❤️😭

As soon as Nathan began speaking, the watch party completely unravelled emotionally.
“Aww stop that Nathan gonna make me cry,” Kelly added.
“Oh phew, is someone cutting onions?” Sharon joked through tears.
Nathan’s speech was one of the most moving moments the series has delivered in years. Emily beautifully summed it up:
“Nathan declaring his love with Elizabeth and Jack and vows to look after and care for them. How lovely of him to do that.”

Viewers were especially touched by Nathan seeking Charlotte’s blessing and honouring Jack’s memory so respectfully. Sharon impressed by “A Mountie vow…” while Wen reminded everyone, “Jack’s always in our hearts too.” 💔
Then came Charlotte’s heartbreaking farewell. Brooke Shields’ performance had fans emotional all over again.
“Superb acting by Brooke Shields,” Kelly praised.
Emily reflected on Charlotte’s grief, writing:
“Poor Charlotte. She’s struggling still after losing her son. And Nathan there supporting her.”

Elizabeth’s final wise words were accompanied by a montage of all our players, each one reflecting on their relationships. Will Lucas reach out to Edie again, next week?

By the episode’s end, nobody was ready for it to be over. Charlotte’s final scene very touching as she realised she hasn’t lost her family, she now has an even bigger one!

“Aww its over. Over too soon as always!” Emily sighed.
“Too too soon it’s over,” Wen agreed.
“Oh boy, big episode, but still over too soon!” Sharon added.
With only two episodes left in the season, Hearties are clearly preparing themselves emotionally for whatever comes next. If Episode 10 proved anything, it’s that WHEN CALLS THE HEART still knows exactly how to balance romance, humour, heartbreak, and hope in a way that keeps fans deeply invested season after season. ❤️
