From heart-stopping moments and dramatic turns to bursts of relief and plenty of supportive banter, the group was completely swept up in the action. Whether we were holding our breath as the town rallied to save the children, cheering Oliver’s first arrest, or reacting to the devastating discovery at Benson Hills, it was an emotional rollercoaster we experienced together. It was another night of community, connection and all the feels – just the way we love it. 💛
So what did you have to say? How is the season shaping up? What did you think of season 13 episode 2?

The Aussie Hearties went into Up in Smoke expecting intensity—and they were not disappointed. The tension hit immediately as the evacuation began, with Sharon setting the tone: “The evacuation begins… so terrifying for them.” As the fire spread, reactions came thick and fast. “Woah that looks intense,” Emily shared, while Joy urged, “Be careful Allie and Opal!” Even with the danger, there were a few lighthearted takes, with Kelly joking, “A lot of chit chat while there is a fire!”

Goldie Park burns!
As the children became separated, the chat held its breath. “Oh no trapped!” Sharon wrote, while Emily kept everyone updated: “The girls were found thankfully… Yay they found the boys.” The relief was felt across the group, with Wen celebrating, “Yay, the boys are safe!” But the drama didn’t ease up, with Bill struggling and the fire continuing to threaten everything in its path. “Everyone is worried,” Emily noted, while Sharon added, “Oh no Bill, he’s affected bad!”

Hope Valley is safe…but what about the rest of the valley?
Amid the chaos, Hope Valley’s true spirit shone through. “The town getting together to support everyone from Benson Hills,” Emily observed, as families arrived seeking safety. Moments of care and compassion stood out, like Rosemary stepping in to help, with Emily sharing, “Aww Rosemary offering Gwendolyn to stay with them,” and Sharon praising, “Clever ladies… give her a purpose.” Even in the tension, there were moments of connection and warmth.

We will rebuild!

There were also some standout character moments that had the chat buzzing. Oliver’s first arrest was a highlight, with Emily cheering, “The first arrest for Oliver!” and Joy adding, “Good on you Garret!” Lucas brought a touch of levity with his charm and magic tricks—“Yay Lucas!” from Joy, while Kelly loved seeing “Lucas being Lucas with his magic tricks.” And of course, sparks were flying, with Sharon noting, “Edie falling hard for L,” and the group collectively swooning: “Awww lovers… woooooo!” said Kelly.

But the emotional weight of the episode landed hard in the final moments. As news broke that Benson Hills had been destroyed, the chat shifted instantly. “Oh gosh devastating for Benson Hills,” Sharon wrote, while Joy added, “Poor Maisie!” and Emily reflected, “Very heavy sad news for the town.” The heartbreak was real, with Sharon summing it up perfectly: “Ahhhh, pass the tissues.”
But HOW did the fire start?
By the end, the verdict was unanimous—this was an emotional rollercoaster. “Very intense,” Emily said, while Sharon added, “Phew that was a big one!” And, as always, it ended far too quickly: “Too soon!” Wen exclaimed, with Emily agreeing, “Way too soon!” One thing’s certain—the Aussie Hearties will be back next week, ready to experience every moment together. and ready to solve this latest mystery! 💛
