What did you think of WHEN CALLS THE HEART S13 Ep6?

The Aussie Hearties’ chat was alive with excitement as WHEN CALLS THE HEART Season 13 Episode 6 ‘Moment of Truth’ unfolded — and the Aussie Hearties themselves were there to make sure they captured all the action. 😄🫶

So what did everyone have to say? What did you think of season 13 episode 5?

If there’s one thing WHEN CALLS THE HEART continues to do so well, it’s blending heartfelt storytelling with moments that have you laughing out loud — and ‘Moment of Truth’ delivered both beautifully 💛

From the very beginning, the excitement was building in our Aussie Hearties watch party, with Emily already setting the tone saying “Can’t wait for tonight’s episode. It’s a good one and funny” — and honestly, she called it perfectly

🐎 A gentle start… with a few surprises

The episode opened with a peaceful horseback ride, though as Sharon quickly pointed out, “so relaxing looking… and new information, Nathan is not a morning person!” 😄

At the same time, Henry’s storyline continues to deepen, with Tracy loving “a Henry Joseph chat 🥰” while Joy added that “Henry loves to help out 🙂”. But there’s still that lingering weight, with Emily noting Henry is “worried about the consequences… with the fire in his head” — a reminder that not everything in Hope Valley is as calm as it seems.

Meanwhikle, Tracey wants to know, “Can they come to my house? I’ve got a few creaks” 😂

😂 The polygraph steals the show …and the lemon curd

Let’s be honest — the polygraph storyline was the standout this week and brought some of the funniest moments of the season 🤣

At first, there was confusion, with Emily asking “A polygraph?? What’s that” before Sharon clarified it’s a “lie detector”. And once it arrived in Hope Valley… chaos followed.

Cute moment

LJ setting his expectations

Nathan: I’ve got my eye on you Bill!

Oliver didn’t stand a chance, with Emily laughing that “all voted for Oliver to be the guinea pig lol” while Tracy chimed in with “hahaha poor Oliver”. But things really escalated when Nathan got pulled in, and as Emily said, “now they are trying it on Nathan lol, big audience lol” — never a good sign

The lemon curd became quite the talking point. Sharon wondered “does lemon curd have an aroma?” while Emily admitted “it’s nice on toast… not sure on its own.” Later, even Rosemary wasn’t convinced, with Sharon noting “Rosie doesn’t like it either… it must be really tart!” — this might have been one of the best running jokes of the episode 🍋.

Starting to sweat!

Kelly summed it up perfectly with “lol poor Nathan telling fibs 😂😂😂”, and then came the moment that had everyone reacting — LJ calling him out, with Emily pointing out “Nathan told a lie”. And just when it couldn’t get more awkward, LJ drops the question about marrying Elizabeth 😳

Thankfully (for Nathan), the tension was broken, with Sharon laughing “phew, Nathan, saved by Christopher” — classic Hope Valley timing 😂

💔 Gwen, Lee and finding courage

Amid all the humour, this episode also delivered some genuinely touching moments, especially with Gwendolyn’s storyline 💛

There was real empathy in the chat, with Sharon saying “poor Gwen very anxious… freaking out about seeing her dad” and Rach adding “poor little Gwen”. Her fear felt very real, especially as we learn more about her past.

Lee really shone here, with Kelly simply saying “Lee is so kind” and Rach noting his “good advice”. Their fishing scene brought a lighter moment too, with Emily cheering “well done Gwendolyn!” and Rachel noting a sweet observation: “Think Lee reminds Gwen of her dad… gentle, caring nature” 💛

By the end of it, there was a sense of hope, with Emily celebrating “yay she wants to see her dad again” — a small but powerful step forward 🌿

Henry contronted Christopher when he had his suspicions and encouraged him to find his humanity and not to leave the boys to take the fall. A poignant moment for both father and son. As Kelly pointed out, “I love Henry’s redemption… he just gets better and better, the silver fox that he is 😂”

💕 Romance & awkwardness 😂

More awkward romance moments back at the saloon too as Lucas discovers his new friend Fernando is Edie’s old fiance! Not another love triangle!!! Poor Lucas, does he ever catch a break.

When Nathan turns up at Elizabeth’s door the next morning with an explanation, his journey continues to win hearts, with Kelly calling him “you big old softy” and Tracy loving his “great speech” 🥰

🔥 The truth about the fire

After weeks of tension, we finally got answers — and what a relief it was.

Emily summed up the moment saying “he says the boys didn’t do it, that’s a huge relief”, while Sharon celebrated “the boys are off the hook!!”. It was a big turning point, especially as Christopher stepped up, with Sharon noting he was “confessing… saying what he knows about the fire” and Kelly adding “good on you Christopher”

The reveal that “the transformer started the fire,” as Emily explained, brought closure and a sense of justice — and you could almost feel the collective sigh of relief from everyone watching 🔥

💥 Final thoughts

By the end, the feeling was unanimous. Emily called it “great episode and funny” while Sharon summed it up as “a big episode, so much happening” — and that really says it all

“MOMENT OF TRUTH” gave us everything we love about the show:

  • emotional growth 💔➡️❤️
  • meaningful character moments 🌱
  • community support 🤝
  • and genuinely funny scenes 😂

It didn’t feel rushed, it didn’t miss a beat — it just felt like WHEN CALLS THE HEART at its very best ✨

And if there’s one thing our Aussie Hearties proved… it’s that watching together makes it even more special 💛🍿
