What did you think of WHEN CALLS THE HEART S13 Ep8?

Hope Valley delivered one of the most charming, chaotic, and heartfelt episodes of the season with “Take Two” — and our live stream crowd had plenty to say while the drama, comedy, romance, and movie-making unfolded in real time.

So what did everyone have to say? What did you think of season 13 episode 8?

Before the episode even started, excitement was already building. “We are in for a good episode,” Emily wrote, while Joy counted down the minutes: “8 minutes to go!” Kelly admitted she “remembered last minute 😂” but thankfully made it just in time.

And what an opening it was.

The second Rosemary got one of her signature creative sparks, everyone knew the town was in trouble. “When Rosemary gets an idea, nobody and nothing gets in her way,” Tracy joked, while Wen declared, “Rosemary’s creative juices are flowing!!!”

The Hope Valley movie project quickly turned into complete chaos — in the best possible way.

Elizabeth stepping into screenwriter mode had viewers laughing immediately. “The story is on the mountie and school teacher,” Emily pointed out, with Joy replying, “of course it is 😆”. Sharon summed up Rosemary’s directing style perfectly: “Rosemary is good at the compliment first then the critique,” which Wen hilariously renamed “kiss then kick.”

Meanwhile, Opal absolutely stole the episode.

From budgeting concerns to barking orders at adults, Opal’s rise to associate producer had the comments section in stitches. “Who knew Opal was so bossy,” Sharon laughed. “Love Opal this episode,” Tracy added, while Emily kept updating everyone with “Opal telling everyone what to do lol.” Her best line may have been when she ordered Elizabeth around and Elizabeth responded, “I’m Mrs Thornton to you lol.”

The actual filming scenes? Pure gold.

As Nathan and Elizabeth repeatedly failed to film a simple romantic scene, the watch party completely lost it.

“Opps head butts lol.”
“Try 2.”
“Opps cut again.”
“Take 3.”

Sharon summed it up best: “lol they’re terrible.”

Then Rosemary fired Elizabeth.

Then came Nathan quitting because he “won’t kiss someone else,”

Fernando unexpectedly entering the film scene became one of the funniest moments of the night. His aura was definitely the ‘undeniable’ presence that Rosemary was looking for. “lol Fernando,” Kelly wrote, while Emily shouted, “The town is in shock!” when Faith ended up in the scene instead. “Go Faith!!!” both Wen and Joy cheered.

Faith was a natural!

Meanwhile, elsewhere in town, the investigation took quite a turn.

Bill and Georgie also gave viewers one of the quiet standout moments of the episode. As the investigation continued heating up, fans loved seeing the pair open up emotionally. “Bill and Georgie have a moment,” Wen noted, while Tracy added, “awww Georgie and Bill.” Emily pointed out they were finally “sharing feelings,” giving the episode a softer, more heartfelt pause amongst all the chaos and comedy. Their growing trust and connection is becoming one of the season’s most compelling slow-burn dynamics.

Georgie was a big help with exposing the map maker and his fraudulent dealings the electric companyl

Henry’s concern for Christopher had had viewers worried early on. “Henry is so worried about Christopher!” Wen commented as the investigation deepened. The mysterious map conspiracy also had fans intrigued. “Is the map fraudulent???” Emily wondered, while Joy simply replied, “Ooo conspiracy!”

Florence was also suspecting a conspiracy of sorts – Molly was keeping secrets!

Sharon noticed immediately that “Florence is suspicious of Molly,” and Tracy cleverly pointed out that Molly’s mysterious letter “was hand delivered, not posted.”

When Molly was set to scold Florence for messing around with a ‘floppy haired nitwit’ both were compelled to share their feelings and worries.

The eventual reveal that Molly passed her nursing studies gave everyone the warm fuzzies. “Yay! She passed!” Joy celebrated, while Sharon praised the friendship between the women: “Their friendship is stronger than ever.”

Of course, the biggest emotional rollercoaster came from Lucas and Edie.

Fernando’s flirting immediately raised alarms. “Watch out Lucas,” Joy warned early on, while Emily observed that Edie looked uncomfortable with Fernando’s attention. Then Lucas witnessed the little goodbye peck and immediately spiralled. “Of course Lucas sees the little peck and thinks the worst!” Sharon laughed.

Edie eventually laid all her cards on the table, but Lucas’ fear and past heartbreak kept him guarded. “Lucas is sharing his past hurts with Edie,” Wen observed, while Sharon wondered if Edie knew “the full story.”

Then came the devastating twist.

“Edie is leaving!!!??” Sharon panicked.
“Edies gone,” Emily confirmed moments later.
“Star crossed lovers Lucas and Edi,” Kelly sighed.

Thankfully Hickam stepped in with the quote of the episode: “Never let your past steal your future.” Sharon called it “a pearler.”

And just when the episode couldn’t get any sweeter, Nathan and Elizabeth closed things out with a golden orchard picnic. “A pretty golden hour picnic,” Sharon wrote, while Joy simply melted with “Awe Nathan.”

As always, the ending came far too quickly.

“Over way too soon as usual!” Wen complained.
“Always too fast!” Emily agreed.
“Finished too soon!” Joy added.

Sharon perhaps summed up the entire episode best:
“One with a bit of everything!!!”

Romance, comedy, conspiracy, chaos, movie-making disasters, friendship, heartbreak, and one very bossy Opal — “Take Two” truly delivered.

And with only four episodes left this season, Hearties are clearly not ready for it to end.
