Meet some GOOD people: Tim Weatherall, GOOD General Manager

Meet GOOD’s recently appointed General Manager, Tim Weatherall. Tim has been part of the GOOD team for more than three years, most of that time as the Marketing and Fundraising Manager. As General Manager, Tim oversees the day-to-day operations of the GOOD streaming platform and live broadcast and has the pleasure of leading a small, committed team of people who love media and get excited about bringing positive and uplifting entertainment into so many homes around Australia. 

Tim has a long background in Christian non-profit strategy and leadership, particularly in the dynamic fields of public relations, marketing, communications, and media. He is particularly passionate about branding, visual storytelling, and creating meaningful integrated experiences for consumers. A self-proclaimed ‘data nerd’, he finds an unusual amount of joy in spreadsheets, analysis, and number crunching, as well as all things technology and digital integration.

Tim is passionate about seeing people’s lives changed through the power of positive media, recognising the huge role that the media plays in our modern lives, he says, “We consume more media each day than ever before, and so much of that media is not healthy or uplifting. GOOD offers people a real alternative that is not only good for them, but it’s great for their whole family and the community around them”. He also says. “We have the ability to change the world by doing more good and encouraging those around us to get involved in making communities stronger and healthier, that’s the real value of good entertainment. It’s the power to transform, build up and encourage us all”.

As a younger man, Tim ran a small recording studio and record label and still loves to make music when he can. He has a bachelor’s degree in theology and worked as a youth pastor in a local church, later co-planting a church in north Brisbane. Tim has been married for 22 years and has two kids aged 15 and 13. His spare time and family life are mainly filled with taking kids here and there and experiencing all the joys of raising two teenagers in 2025. He also loves photography, and watching movies whenever he gets the chance.

With a rich background in media, leadership, and ministry, Tim Weatherall brings a unique blend of strategic vision, creativity, and passion to his role as General Manager of GOOD. His commitment to uplifting entertainment, coupled with his expertise in marketing, technology, and community engagement, drives his mission to provide content that inspires and transforms lives. A dedicated family man and lifelong creative, Tim’s leadership is rooted in the belief that positive media has the power to strengthen individuals, families, and communities. Under his guidance, GOOD continues to grow as a platform that not only entertains but also makes a meaningful impact.
