New to GOOD: HumanKind

BY: Sharon Fitness for GOOD.

With a new episode dropping every Friday night on the GOOD app, HUMANKIND is the new show produced by GOOD creating ripples of change, by sharing the kindness of others.

HumanKind isn’t just a TV show – it’s a movement to restore faith in the kindness of humanity. The program aims to showcase the extraordinary power of everyday kindness with stories of the hidden heroes among us, proving that small gestures can create ripples of change across Aussie communities.

HumanKind Hosts Angela and Dave

The hosts of the program, visiting eight locations around Australia, are Angela and Dave. But they aren’t just presenters – they’re fellow travellers on this kindness journey, and your guides through the inspiring stories of everyday Aussies making a difference.

As a published author, public speaker, and UK charity founder, Angela has witnessed first-hand how kindness transforms lives.

HumanKind …stories that restore faith in humanity’s capacity for kindness

“I founded a charity helping women escape cycles of prostitution and addiction, and today, I continue championing causes that foster unity,” she said. “HumanKind allows me to share stories that restore faith in humanity’s capacity for kindness and the power it has to change the world.”

“A quote that resonates deeply with me is: ‘The happiest people are not those who HAVE more but those who GIVE more’. Through HumanKind, I hope to inspire others to experience this truth for themselves.”

Angela’s co-host Dave says from a young age, his parents instilled in him the importance of kindness.

“They taught me that it didn’t need to be extravagant – it could be as simple as picking up rubbish, helping an elderly woman with her shopping, or paying for someone’s fuel. This lesson shapes how I interact with the world daily,” he said. “Recently, I stopped traffic to help an elderly man cross the road in his mobility scooter. Despite my kids’ embarrassment, moments like these remind me that kindness is about seeing someone and showing them they matter.”

HumanKind …showcasing the extraordinary impact of ordinary kindness.

Having enjoyed a diverse career working with creative minds across a variety of industries Dave says, “Through it all, I’m reminded: ‘No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.’ It’s this belief that drives my work with HumanKind, showcasing the extraordinary impact of ordinary kindness.”

The duo travelled up and down the country discovering the extraordinary stories of ordinary Australians making a difference. Unsung heroes who are transforming their communities through simple acts of kindness.

In the vibrant community of Sunshine Butterflies, professional chefs Nick and Sarah Hooper are cooking up more than just meals. They’re using their culinary expertise to empower individuals with disabilities, proving that the kitchen can be a powerful place for building confidence and fostering inclusion. Watch as they create a recipe for community connection that’s changing lives one dish at a time.

In the heart of Toowoomba, Barb Blewett of You Belong is redefining the meaning of welcome. Her tireless efforts to support Yazidi refugees show how simple acts of kindness can transform a strange land into a true home. HumanKind allows viewers to join with Barb as she bridges cultural divides and creates a sense of belonging that transcends language and borders.

In the bustling streets of Sydney, Mel Edmonson is proving that a little dough goes a long way. At Wesley Mission, she’s turned her passion for baking into a powerful tool for community support. Angela and Dave uncover how Mel’s creative approach to kindness is offering more than just sustenance to those doing it tough – it’s serving up hope, one loaf at a time.
