Spotted a new privacy message on GOOD? Here’s what’s going on.

If you recently opened the GOOD app and were greeted by a “new privacy agreement”, you may have wondered, Hang on… what changed?

The short answer is: nothing has changed about GOOD’s privacy policy.

The message has appeared because of changes made by Vimeo, the platform technology we use to help power the GOOD app. As part of those changes, Vimeo has introduced an updated privacy prompt that users may now see when opening the app.

So while the message itself may be new, the way GOOD handles your information has not changed.

Is GOOD sharing my data?

Our existing privacy policy remains in place and explains what information may be collected when you use the GOOD app, why it is collected, and how it may be used. GOOD is committed to protecting personal information and only discloses it in accordance with Australian privacy law and our published privacy policy.

No new data-sharing arrangement has been introduced by GOOD.

Like most streaming and digital services, GOOD relies on external technology providers to operate parts of the service. Our privacy policy already explains that information may be handled by service providers involved in areas such as IT, cloud storage and other technology needed to deliver GOOD.

So why am I seeing this now?

Think of it as the technology behind the app putting a new sign on the front door.

The sign may look different, but GOOD hasn’t suddenly changed what happens inside.

The updated prompt comes from changes to the Vimeo platform we use, rather than a change to GOOD’s own privacy practices.

Your privacy still matters to us

We know privacy notices can sometimes sound a little alarming, particularly when they suddenly appear on a device you’ve been happily using for ages.

So we wanted to reassure you: GOOD has not introduced a new privacy policy, and we haven’t suddenly decided to start doing something different with your personal information.
