Aussie Hearties, we’ve officially reached the emotional danger zone. After another beautiful season in Hope Valley filled with romance, surprises, tears, community moments, and enough meaningful Nathan-and-Elizabeth glances to keep us all emotionally unstable, the finale is almost here 😭

And while we’re excited… we’re also absolutely not ready to say goodbye to Season 13.

So in the interests of public safety (and protecting Aussie Hearties everywhere), we’ve put together the ultimate Finale Survival Kit to help you prepare for what promises to be a very emotional night of television.

Your Official Aussie Heartie Checklist ✔️

Before the episode begins, please ensure the following essentials are ready:

☑️ Tea – make a pot, you’re going to need it, and serve in your favourite cosy mug
☑️ Chocolate supply fully stocked
☑️ Tissues within immediate reach
☑️ Blanket for emotional support
☑️ Comfortable viewing position secured
☑️ Phone on silent
☑️ Family informed you are NOT to be interrupted
☑️ Fellow Aussie Hearties available for post-episode debriefing

Because let’s be honest… we’re expecting:

  • at least one heart-melting romantic moment 💕
  • one emotional scene that completely destroys us 😭
  • one shocking or surprising cliffhanger 😱
  • and approximately 47 minutes of collective Aussie Heartie joy.
🍪 Post-Episode Comfort Cookies
(Easy enough to make before the finale!)

Whether you’re celebrating, crying, or dramatically staring into the distance afterwards, these warm chocolate chip cookies are the perfect comfort snack.

Ingredients
  • 125g butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup raw sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1½ cups plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Method
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Cream butter and sugars together until smooth.
  3. Add egg and vanilla.
  4. Stir in flour and baking powder.
  5. Fold through chocolate chips.
  6. Roll into balls and place on a lined tray.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.

Best served warm with tea or a Milo while discussing:

  • and how long we now have to wait until next season!
