This is what GOOD Looks Like
BY: GOOD.
You would have noticed… We’ve been promoting our spring appeal.
But we don’t want to just talk about targets, donations or keeping GOOD free, we want to show you why any of it matters in the first place.
Because GOOD isn’t really about a streaming platform. It’s about people.
It’s about someone coming home after a difficult day and finding something safe, hopeful and encouraging to watch. It’s about a family being able to choose a movie without worrying about what might suddenly appear on screen. It’s about someone awake in the middle of the night finding comfort, or someone who can’t make it to church still being able to connect with a service from home.
THIS is what GOOD looks like.
Lynette in NSW has been watching since the early days and says GOOD has been there through some of the biggest challenges of her life.
“This network walked with me through many of life’s huge challenges.”
She describes coming home from work and being able to watch “safe, wholesome and encouraging content”, adding:
“Thank you so much for making every day better.”
For Michelle in NSW, GOOD began with a search for WHEN CALLS THE HEART.
“From day one it hasn’t disappointed.”
What she discovered was somewhere she could step away from the noise for a while.
“It’s so nice to switch off from the world and find shows and movies that just want to make you smile. Thank you GOOD for bringing light back to our TVs.”
That might sound like a simple thing. But simple things can matter enormously.
Heather in Queensland told us that when life becomes difficult, GOOD gives her somewhere to turn.
“I find the movies on GOOD very uplifting and encouraging. When going through difficult times, it is so good to choose a movie which brings joy to the heart.”
And sometimes GOOD arrives at exactly the right hour. Literally.
Veronica in Queensland often wakes during the night and turns on GOOD.
“[When I wake through the night I turn] on GOOD TV and it’s usually a good preacher or a romantic movie. I doze off and have a peaceful few hours of sleep and wake up refreshed.”
A place families can trust
For many viewers, GOOD has become something they can simply put on without second-guessing what the family might encounter.
David in Queensland says his children especially love BIBLEMAN and SEA KIDS.
“It takes away the stress of choosing a movie as a family because we can trust that it’s a safe place to browse.”
And for David, that matters well beyond today.
“We need GOOD TV now and into the future for our children, and their children and their children.”
Audienne in Queensland feels much the same.
“Our family loves watching GOOD. It is wholesome and no swearing which is good for the whole family.”
Sue in NSW puts it simply:
“I enjoy being able to watch wholesome movies and shows that are suitable for all the family.”
For Diane in Queensland, finding that kind of viewing elsewhere has become increasingly difficult.
“I watch television to be encouraged and feel safe, to have an interest in something intelligent and positive.”
Her message to the people who make GOOD possible was equally simple:
“You make a difference.”
That is why we do this.
More than something to watch
For some viewers, GOOD is entertainment. For others, it has become part of their daily rhythm.
Vijay in NSW says:
“GOOD is my go-to channel early morning and before going to sleep, and in between during the day.”
For Janelle in Victoria, even watching together with her partner has created something meaningful.
“My partner who isn’t a follower yet always watches them with me. Seeds are being planted in a beautiful way. God is doing something GOOD!”
Cliff and Ann in Western Australia have found another kind of connection. Work commitments can make getting to church difficult, so the church services available through GOOD have become especially important to them.
“We have found the range of Church services telecast each Sunday a real Godsend.”
Then there are viewers like Ruth in Queensland, who sees the stories themselves as an encouragement towards something bigger.
Speaking about WHEN CALLS THE HEART, she says:
“It encourages one to emulate such values as forgiveness, kindness, sharing, love for others above oneself.”
And Jan in NSW says the programs she watches do more than entertain her.
“I absolutely love the movies, so inspirational and spur me on to share the good news as well as tell others about GOOD.”
That is exactly the idea behind GOOD.
Watch GOOD. Feel GOOD. Do GOOD.
Because when people encounter goodness, they are better positioned to carry some of that goodness into their own families, communities and world.
Free should stay free
Anyone, anywhere, can watch GOOD for free.
And we believe that’s how it should be.
But free doesn’t mean GOOD costs nothing to provide. It means someone else believed in it enough to pay it forward.
GOOD isn’t built around subscribers paying for their own access. It is viewer-funded by people who have experienced something worthwhile here and want to make sure the door remains open for the next person.
Helen in Victoria understands that instinctively.
“GOOD TV is wholesome. It needs to stay ON, because there are thousands of people out in the world who need to experience God’s Love, Grace and Mercy.”
She imagines someone simply scrolling through the television one day and stumbling across GOOD.
“God may just direct them to the sweet spot! The GOOD spot!”
That next person might be looking for a family movie. They might be going through a difficult season. They might be unable to attend church. They might simply need something that makes them smile.
They may never know who helped make that moment possible.
But that’s the beauty of it.
You’re not giving to GOOD. You’re giving as part of GOOD.
This September, we’re inviting our viewers to think differently about supporting GOOD.
Not as subscribers. Not as customers.
As family.
When you give, you’re helping keep GOOD freely available so someone you may never meet can discover it tomorrow.
You’re helping make more stories like these possible.
This is what your gift makes possible. This is what GOOD looks like.
And if giving isn’t possible right now, there is another incredibly simple way to help.
Tell someone.
Tell your family. Tell your friends. Tell someone at church. Tell the person who keeps complaining there’s nothing decent left to watch.
Because sharing GOOD opens the same door.
The more people who discover GOOD, the more people who can experience it, believe in it and help it continue.
So this September, you can help in two ways:
Give GOOD. Or share GOOD.
Either way, you become part of keeping that door open for whoever walks through next.
